AES 2027 convenes at the War Museum of Athens in Athens: four days of science at one of the most visited sites in Europe, 16–19 March 2027.

AES 2027 will take place at Rizari 2–4, Athens 106 75, Greece, in the Kolonaki district on Vasilissis Sofias Avenue, within walking distance of Evangelismos metro station on line 3.

Before you travel

Getting there

Athens International Airport (ATH) lies east of the city. Metro line 3 connects the airport directly to Evangelismos, the station nearest the venue — one line, no change required, in approximately 40 minutes.

Taxis operate around the clock from the Arrivals exits. The X95 express bus runs to Syntagma Square and continues 24 hours.

Entry requirements

Greece is a Schengen country. Depending on nationality, visitors may require a visa to enter the Schengen area; verify the requirements well in advance. Registered participants can request a signed invitation letter after their registration and payment have been confirmed.

When in Athens

March brings mild temperatures and longer days, with the city and its monuments accessible before the summer season. The Acropolis and the National Archaeological Museum are a short distance from the venue; Plaka, Monastiraki and the Acropolis Museum are within easy reach by metro or on foot.
