Photonics, Nanophotonics, Plasmonics & Quantum Photonics
Light at the nanoscale and its interaction with matter, integrated and nonlinear photonic systems, and quantum photonics.
RF, Microwave, Terahertz, Sensing & Electromagnetic Systems
Components, circuits and instruments from radio frequencies to terahertz, and the sensing, communication and industrial systems built with them.

Presentation formats
Plenary lectures
Invited lectures that open the conference days, delivered in the main hall to all participants.
Keynote lectures
Invited lectures by internationally recognised researchers, scheduled across the four days.
Invited presentations
Presentations within symposia, special sessions and invited thematic strands, with their own chairs and speakers.
Contributed oral presentations
Peer-reviewed talks grouped by research track in parallel sessions. Eligible presentations are considered for the AES Best Talk Awards.
Poster presentations
Dedicated sessions for in-depth discussion with interested researchers. Eligible for the AES Best Poster Awards; same peer review and proceedings placement as oral presentations.
Tutorials
Introductory sessions for researchers entering a field or moving to it from a neighbouring area, scheduled across the conference days.
You may state a preference for an oral or a poster presentation when you submit. Assignment reflects scientific content, thematic fit, programme balance, diversity and the time available, and is not a ranking of quality. Invited presentations are limited to one per presenting author.

Conference dates
16–19 March 2027
The conference runs from Tuesday 16 to Friday 19 March 2027 at the War Museum of Athens, Athens. The conference schedule is published on 19 February 2027, after the review process is complete. Registered participants receive it by email on the same day.
Propose a special session or a symposium
Special sessions and symposia are proposed by members of the scientific community. A proposal needs a title, a short scope statement and the proposing organisers' names.
