Past Editions
Since its first edition in Paris in 2012, AES has held 12 conferences across three continents. This page lists every edition with its city, dates, organisers and proceedings volume.
AES across three continents
Twelve editions in twelve years, from Paris to Catania, across Europe, Asia and Africa.
The AES conference series was founded under the name Advanced Electromagnetics Symposium and held its first edition in Paris in April 2012. It met yearly through 2014, then skipped 2015 before resuming in Málaga in 2016. No edition was held in 2020 or 2021; the conference resumed in Marrakesh in 2022 under its present name, the International Conference on Antennas and Electromagnetic Systems.
Since 2016, every volume is published under ISSN 2491-2417 and indexed in Scopus. The 2012–2014 volumes were published with an ISBN. AES 2027 in Athens will be the thirteenth edition.
Every edition, 2012 back to 2026
Each volume is published as one open-access PDF. Volumes since 2016 carry ISSN 2491-2417 and are indexed in Scopus; the 2012–2014 volumes were published with an ISBN. No AES conference was held in 2015, 2020 or 2021.
